Reviews and Ratings
I had a pleasant stay at this Wyndham hotel. The rooms were well-lit with a variety of lamps, including floor, wall, and table lamps from the spa tub side. The location was convenient with nearby restaurant options, and the attached Mermaid restaurant was a good choice. The service was great, with a super friendly staff member making our stay comfortable. However, the dining experience was basic with overcooked eggs. The pool and hot tub were clean and the facilities were well-maintained, keeping our grandson entertained. Overall, a good value for money.
Upon my arrival, I was welcomed by a musty odor in the room that reminded me of stagnant water or a decaying animal, almost making me feel nauseated right away. The room was decently equipped with furniture, featuring a single living room chair, a desk with a chair, a fridge, a microwave tucked inside the dresser, and one of those convenient single cup coffee makers. Despite the initial smell, the room felt spacious and cozy overall.
Walking into the room was a bit of a shocker as I almost gagged at the sight of what seemed like a dead animal smell, but the jacuzzi was a saving grace and served its purpose. Facing the back parking lot used by truck drivers and their semis wasn't the most pleasant view, but the room was clean and functional.
